Springtime fun

We are all loving that spring is here! Norah especially. She absolutely loves to be outside. We try to get her outside every day, even if it's just for a few minutes. Lance and I are also enjoying the change to get out a few times each week. We are training together for a 5K. This is a bit of a challenge for me, since I've never enjoyed running!

Norah is pretty much crawling...still a bit of a mix of the army crawl and real crawling. It won't be long 'til she's all over the house! She's also getting very steady on her feet when she has something to hold onto. She is generally a happy girl, though she's been dealing with a cold and/or teething for the last week. She has her two front, bottom teeth. I can't feel any others popping up, but this cold seems to be dragging on for quite some time.

Lance and I had a great weekend. I was able to enjoy some time with some girlfriends Friday night, Saturday we went to a concert together (Jim Brickman - piano player), and then were able to spend Mother's Day with our moms! It was a busy but wonderful weekend.

Christ the Lord is risen today...Alleluia!

Easter...a day for family, food, colored eggs, candy, pretty dresses, etc. But it's also the day Jesus rose from the grave! What a blessing for us here on earth. I know we need to remember this daily, but during the Easter season especially, we recognize that Jesus Christ died a sinner's death on the cross, was buried and remained in the grave for three days, then rose from the grave. His death is payment for our sins. And because of his death, God offers us eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord! So we rejoice and celebrate his death and resurrection! We rejoice in the freedoms we have and the life He has given us!

This was our first Easter as a family! We enjoyed dressing Norah in a pretty white Easter dress. It was tough to get a picture of her, but we managed to snap a few good ones!

Pink Eye

Norah had pink eye last week. And she decided to share it with Mommy and Daddy. We love that she likes to share already, but weren't so excited about what she was sharing! :) Norah struggled a little longer than I was prepared for. She started out on antibiotic eye drops, but had a reaction to them. I ended up taking her to the walk in and they recommended eye ointment instead. She seemed to be doing well with that for the first day and a half, then woke up Saturday morning with a really swollen eye. It seemed to get worse through the morning, so we went to and eye doctor. They said she had bacterial conjunctivitis. We kept her on the ointment, and within a few days she was better. Lance and I both got it, and still are dealing with sore, itchy eyes. We hope it's going to be totally out of the house soon.

Here is a picture of her swollen eye...

With the weather getting warmer, we have enjoyed getting out for walks together. Norah loves being outside. She gets excited when I open the front door to take her out to get the mail each day. We are very thankful she enjoys the outdoors so much.
