Bath time fun!
Now that Norah is enjoying her bath time, it is so much more fun for Lance and I. Last week she discovered how to splash. She had so much fun in the water!!
Norah's Dedication
On Sunday, March 27th, we dedicated Norah to the Lord in our morning church service. Pastor shared this verse with us:
Isaiah 29:23 When they see among them their children, the work of my hands, they will keep my name holy. They will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
Pastor reminded us that Norah is not ours, but that she is our Lord's. He held Norah and prayed over her, dedicating her to the Lord's service, praying that she might come to know Him at an early age. It is such a blessing to be involved in a church that does baby dedications, emphasizing the importance of raising a child up in the Lord and praying for Norah's salvation. It is our prayer that Norah will see the Lord reflected in our lives as we raise her.
We were so thankful to have some of Norah's grandparents, great grandparents, two aunts and an uncle, and two cousins attend the service. What a blessing to share this special day with our family.

Life is changing
We have had some excitement in our house over the past couple of days. Norah had her 6 month appointment on Friday. She gained 2 pounds, and grew 1 inch since her 4 month appointment (still only in the 25th percentile)! During her exam, her doctor mentioned that one of her bottom teeth was about to pop through. By Saturday morning, there was a tiny tooth poking through. It's Sunday night, and I think the tooth is almost all the way in!
Tonight, while Norah was laying on the floor, she started doing an army crawl. She is starting to understand how she can move to get something that's out of her reach. It is so fun to watch her learn. But we know our every day life is about to change since she is becoming mobile!
Lance and I were both very challenged after hearing the sermon our pastor preached today. Some thoughts I'd like to leave with you are these:
1. Pleasing God is not a choice...it's a necessity.
2. If my passion for something is stronger than my passion for pleasing Christ, that would be considered lust.
3. Holiness is not a static, spiritual state. As Christians, we should not be stuck in neutral. We will start coasting downhill.
4. Delayed obedience is disobedience.

Something new
I have been very excited to get this blog set up. It is our way of keeping our friends and family informed of the happenings in our life, and to give you all updates (mostly of Norah)! I am so thankful that Lance is computer savvy, and that he helped me get this set up!
I may not have a lot for you to read initially as I am still in the creating process. But here are some updates for you...
Norah is just about 6 months old. It is crazy how fast these past 6 months have gone. We love being parents, and love watching her grow and learn. She is getting ready to crawl, and is almost sitting on her own. We recently started her on rice cereal, which she loves. She is, overall, a pretty happy baby!
Lance is really enjoying his job at Planet Label, where he was hired as a web developer. He started at the beginning of January.
I absolutely love being home with Norah. We are so thankful that God provided this job for Lance, to allow me to be home with her.
Lance and I are looking into buying our first home. We just attended a 2-night class for first-time home buyers. Wow...it was a lot of information to take in. We are seeking the Lord's direction as we consider this huge decision.
All in all, life for us is going very well. We are anxiously waiting the day (night) when Norah sleeps through the night! We are thankful to be where we're at, and so thankful for the way God is working in our lives.
